That’s right, a lot of your favorite movies out there have little mistakes that are, indeed, hilarious when you look back into it. Well, it is very hard to make a perfect movie, after all we are still human and everyone makes mistakes.

The funny part is when no one notices until it is pointed out! Today we will show you a list of how even the biggest companies still make mistakes on their biggest movies! Now, grab a snack and see the best mistakes of movie history that were accidental!

Sherlock Holmes – Geography Matters

If you have seen Sherlock Holmes, the movie starred by Robert Downey Jr, there is a scene at the end where a chase happened. It starts in the sewers and ends in the Tower Bridge.

Sherlock Holmes - Geography Matters

Well, the thing is that the two are kind of far apart. If we go geographically, they are over two miles apart! It would be really hard to have a chase be that long and fast.

Titanic – Lake Wissota

Titanic might as well be one of the biggest hits of all time! This movie was so well received that it is known around the whole globe. But even the biggest hits can have mistakes. One of the main characters of the movie, Jack, which was portrait by Leonardo DiCaprio tells Rose, the female lead, a story.

Titanic - Lake Wissota

That story tells us that Jack’s father used to fish with him in Lake Wissota. Which is hilarious because the Lake Wissota was only formed in 1917, which is five years after the titanic sank, in 1912.

Spider-Man – Self-Repairing Lamp

If you know spider-man, then you probably first watched the Tobey Maguire movies. In the first one, that came out in 2002 we see Peter Parker using his webs in his room, and he ends up breaking a lamp.

Spider Man - Self-Repairing Lamp

Well, that is weird because in the next shot, the lamp seems perfectly fine! Not only that, but it is back where it was in the beginning. Maybe Peter’s powers affected the lamp too?

The Aviator – Chocolate Chip Cookies

Did you know that chocolate chip cookies were only invented in 1938? Well, the director of “The Aviator” for sure did not! In the 2004 movie, the character Howard Hughes, which was played by our star Leonardo DiCaprio, bough some chocolate chips.

The Aviator - Chocolate Chip Cookies

Imagine the horror when the directors found out that chocolate chip cookies were only invented in 1938, which is two years after where the movie was set.

Django Unchained – Sunglasses

Played by Jamie Foxx, the character Django in the movie Django Unchained wore sunglasses. The movie was aired in 2012, but it was based before that time, and the character wearing sunglasses was out of his time!

Django Unchained - Sunglasses

Did you know that before, sunglasses were only used mostly for people that had them prescribed? Just like corrective glasses. Still, the performance of Jamie Foxx was so amazing, that fans didn’t mind it.

Anaconda – That’s not how rifles work

Well, there are many mistakes in movies made in the 90s, especially when they are about giant killer snakes like the Anaconda. This movie, besides all that, is a huge classic and a great hit even to today’s standards. But it still has some mistakes we can’t forget!

Anaconda- That's Not How Rifles Work

For an example, when Terri shoots the snake. Well, that is impossible! She does it by firing round after round without reloading. And it was a rifle, these types of weapons can’t do that.

The Dark Knight – Spell Check

Well, this is indeed an interesting one, that not many noticed. Well, the director of the beloved movie The Dark Knight, Christopher Nolan made a spelling mistake.

The Dark Knight - Spell Check

For someone who is called a perfectionist, he really wronged the words “Heist” and “Cast”.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End – Singapore’s founding

Another funny blooper caused by the fact that the timeline is messed up! In this movie, we see the showdown of the east India trading company in Singapore and that is a bit incorrect.

Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World’s End - Singapore's Founding

Why you ask? Well, Singapore was not even founded yet! It was only founded in the 1700s.

Straight Outta Compton – Eazy-E’s Hat

This movie was a huge success when it first came out in theaters. It talked about the rise and fall of the California rap group NWA, but even so we could not help noticing a few mistakes.

Straight Outta Compton - Eazy-E's Hat

In the movie, one of the main character, named Eazy-E is a big fan of the Chicago White Sox. Well, he is wearing a hat of it after all. But the thing is, the hat has the new logo. The movie is shown to be in 1986, which means the logo should have been gray, blue and red.

Gladiator – “The Spaniard”

If you know Russel Crowe, you probably know his character Maximus Decimus Meridius. The character, also known as “The Spaniard”. The mistake in here is the language.

Gladiator - "The Spaniard"

You see, that word was only used in old french, around the 1300s, but well, this movie is set in 180 AD, which is, to be fair, thousands of years before!

Charlie’s Angels – Getting Names Mixed Up

This is a problem many will often see in bloopers. When actors are so focused on their role that they accidentally call their co-stars the wrong name. Well, that happened here.

Charlie’s Angels - Getting Names Mixed Up

In the Charlie’s Angels movie, there is a scene where the Angels chase him down with pistols. Well, they fight and in the heat of the moment, Drew calls Alex by her real name – Lucy.

Lord of the Rings – Gandalf’s Watch

Well, we all know how amazing and powerful Gandalf really is. Well, we know he is after the rings, but did you know he is after the watched too?

Lord Of The Rings - Gandalf's Watch

It is a funny mistake since, well, watches were not really a thing. So seeing the great Gandalf wearing one is hilarious.

Harry Potter and The Chamber Of Secrets – Cameraman On Set

Everyone’s most beloved franchise could not escape, either! Harry Potter has some hilarious bloopers and mistakes, mostly because working with children that young is really hard! In the second movie, there was a particular scene many might not have noticed.

Harry Potter And The Chamber of Secrets - Cameraman On Set

When Draco Malfoy, played by Tom Felton, is on the ground after dueling with Harry Potter, there are a lot of Hogwarts students looking at him. But if you look into the far left of the screen, you might find a peculiar student! Well, it is not really a student, but a cameraman that appeared!

Back to The Future – Marty’s Guitar

Well, being a movie about time traveling, we can pretend this mistake was on purpose! There is a scene where Marty McFly travels to 1955 and plays an ES-345 guitar.

Back to The Future - Marty's Guitar

The thing is, this guitar was only invented in 1958, which is, well, 3 years after! Maybe he made a little stop along the way to get the guitar.

Troy – Airplane

You probably know about the movie “Troy”. And although it was a huge hit in 2004, it does not escape all the mistakes it has.

Troy - Airplane

There is a special scene where we see the main character, Achilles, which is played by Brat Pitt. At first everything seems normal, but if you look to the sky, you can see an airplane! Yeah, I bet those did not exist back then.

Gladiator – Gas Canister

The Gladiator has its fair share of mistakes. In one of the most famous scenes of the movie, you can see a gas canister in the back of a chariot.

Gladiator - Gas Canister

Well, this blooper has become as popular as the scene!

Independence Day – Wrong address

Once again we see how important geography is in the movies, and how often it is wronged. In this movie, we see the Empire State Building blowing up. But something is amiss.

Independence Day - Got The Address Wrong

Well, the thing is, the address is wrong! In the movie it shows that the Empire State Building is in the 53rd street, but in the real life street it is in the 34th street.

Forrest Gump – Apple Stocks

Now, this is a very funny mistake! You see, in this movie, Forrest Gump receives a letter from Apple. There is nothing wrong with that since it already existed, right? Well, actually the mistake is not the letter per se.

Forrest Gump - Apple Stocks

The thing is, when our character opens the letter we see the Apple logo, which is a rainbow one. Well, that would be okay if the movie was set after 1975, because that logo was designed only in 1976! Not only that, but apple only became a publically traded company in 1981.

300 Movie – Black Powder

There is an error in this movie that many might not have realized. While the Xerxes army tried to beat the Spartans, some bombs were used in order to do so.

300 Movie - Black Powder

The problem is that it is a bit too early! The back powder that is used to fabricate bombs was not even invented until the 9th century, which is a bit ahead of its time. Although it is a great movie, it might not be all that accurate.

Braveheart – Wearing a Kilt

In the movie Bravehear, we are introduced to William Wallace, a Scot character. The movie portray an American historical war film, and even though it was nominated for ten Academy Awards, it still had some mistakes!

Braveheart - Wearing A Kilt

Our character William Wallace, played by Mel Gibson, wore a kilt. Well, there is nothing wrong with that, only that kilts only became popular in the 1600s, which is 300 years after the movie was set.

American Sniper – Bradley’s Baby Doll

With six nominations at the 87th Academy Awards and a lot of good reviews, the 2014 American biographical war drama ended up winning the award for best sound editing.

Good thing it wasn’t for best props because that would be crazy. In this movie, there is a particular scene where the character Chris Kyle (played by Bradley Cooper) holds a baby.

American Sniper - Bradley's Baby Doll

But the baby looks weird, right? Well, that is because the baby is not real, it is in fact a doll. It looks very plastic and lifeless but can be quickly missed. The director choose this route because working with babies is incredibly hard. Still, it is a great movie and this one mistake did not ruin it.

Spy Kids – Cameraman again!

The classic 2001 Spy Kids movie is about the Cortez kids and then finding out their parents are spies and try to rescue them from kidnappers. Well, there is a scene in the movie that makes a funny blooper.

Spy Kids - Cameraman In The Way

When Carla Gugino is sitting in the vanity mirror, if we look to the far right mirror, there is someone who should not be there! That is the cameraman trying to take the shot. I’ve always wondered how they film mirrors and don’t show up, well I guess they do after all!

The Patriot – Totally Ageless

This one is a bit harder to forgive, and even to ignore! Well, the patriot is a movie which shows the main characters through the years. The thing is, no one seems to age.

The Patriot - Totally Ageless

Well, that could be forgiven if they were all adults, but we all know how quickly children grow, and hold and behold, none of the kids in this movie age one bit. And while the movie is a good one, it can get really annoying because of this problem.

Panic Room – Don’t fall asleep in chemistry class

This one is a problem only the ones who paid attention in class will realize. Well, in this one scene, the character Jodie Foster lights up a propane canister to avoid the rising canister.

Panic Room - Don't Fall Asleep In Chemistry Class

The thing is, propane is heavier than air, which means it wouldn’t do much in real life. Since the propane would stay closer to the floor, the canister would fall on to it.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows – You have your mother’s eyes

A big part of the Harry Potter book series is the comparison of Harry Potter to his father, but the fact that even though everything else looks like James, he has his mother’s Lily eyes. Well, in the books, Harry Potter is depicted as a green-eyed boy, having the green from his mom.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows - Green Eyes

In the movies, the color changed to blue since Daniel Radcliffe had an allergy to the contact lenses. Well, that is okay if they made young lily shown in the last movie match his blue eyes. But in the flashback, we clearly see that the young actress’s eyes are brown! Well, maybe they meant the shape of his eyes were the same?

The Sound of Music – Good Luck

In this movie, which is portrayed in old Nazi Germany, we accompany the Von Trapp Family. Here, they are pushing their car out of the house and are stopped by Nazi soldiers. After some time, Herr Detailer is able to go to the music festival. Well, that is when Maria and the Captain go to the front of the car and gives them a finger crosses gesture to indicate good luck.

The Sound Of Music - Good Luck!

Well, if it was today that would make sense, but this is Nazi Germany in the 1930s or 1940s and that means that it was not common there. This was a sign more common in English countries, so that means people in Germany would not know what it means. To make it more accurate, they should have pressed their thumbs, as a gesture known as “Daumen drucken”.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade – A bit too late

In the movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, we see the burning of the books by the Nazi in 1938. But the thing is, it did not happen that year.

Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade - Historical Inaccuracies

The burning of the books, while a bit dramatic, happened before the second great war, in 1933. Which means it is five whole years before.

Malcolm X – Somebody call 911

In this movie, we see the character Malcolm X yelling for someone to call 911 to help since his house was in a fire.

Malcolm X - Somebody (Can't) Call 911

Well, 911 did not even exist at that time. It was only created three years after Malcolm X’s death.

Saving Private Ryan – Motorcycle Troubles

Captain miller, a character portrayed by Tom Hanks, rests against a motorcycle when injured. The motorcycle’s model is an Ural M-63.

Saving Private Ryan - Motorcycle Troubles

But did you know that it did not exist? This motorcycle was only invented 18 years after where the movie is set. So, a bit of time traveling here.

Dallas Buyers Club – Lamborghini Aventador

Another problem with the timeline here. In the movie, the character Ron Woodroof which is played by Matthew McConaughey is a man with HIV/AIDS in 1985.

Dallas Buyers Club - Lamborghini Aventador

Well, but in a scene where he is shown, we see that behind him there is a poster. There is a red Lamborghini Aventador, which is a problem since it was a bit ahead of its time. This sports car only came out in 2011.

Pirates of the Caribbean – Granny Smith Apples

I bet you have heard of the famous movie Pirates of the Caribbean. Well, there is one character that really loves apples! Captain Barbosa is always eating them. Well, the thing is, there was this one scene where he is eating a Granny Smiths.

Pirates of The Caribbean - Granny Smith Apples

That is a type of apple that was created in 1868, which is around 140 years after the movie was set! It is a small mistake that only apple lovers knew!

Public Enemies – John Dillinger’s Hit List

In this very famous movie, we have a huge timeline error that neither of the writers or directors realized! Well, you see, in the movie Babyface Nelson and Pretty Boy Floyd were killed by John Dillinger. But that cant be.

Public Enemies - John Dillinger's Hit List

Why you ask? Well, because by the time the two character died, John Dillinger was already dead! How come the writers did not notice this big mistake in the movie?

Halloween – California Palm Trees

This might not even be called a mistake if you want, but it is a fun detail many Californians realized. In this movie, we see Californian palm trees in the back.

Halloween - California Palm Trees

Well, the movie is set in a fictional town in Illinois, so that might not be very accurate. But, well, maybe this fictional town has those palm trees.

The Usual Suspects – Not the same plane

One of the best neo-noir mystery movie of all time is The usual suspects. This amazing movie has some great moments, but as we can see, there are some other things that make funny bloopers.

The Usual Suspects - Not The Same Plane

Well, there is this scene where one of the characters is about to rob a police car near the airport, and it shows the front of a 747 airplane with 4 engines. But behold that a few minutes later, it shows the back of a 767 wit two engines! I mean, couldn’t they just edit it?

The Hurt Locker – Xbox Games

Well, our famous movie The Hurt Locker could not escape these tiny mistakes! You see, when the movie came out, fans realized that there are some character playing on an Xbox. That is not bad.

The Hurt Locker - Xbox Games

Well, the thing is, the Xbox only came out in 2005! Not only that, but the game they played, Gears of War only came out in 2006, which is one and two years after the movie was set, in 2004.

Top Gun – Aerial Tricks

The Top Gun movie has some insane bloopers like this one. You see, when Maverick and Goose fly with one of the planes upside down?

Top Gun - Aerial Tricks

Well, in real life, they would be dead! That trick is impossible, they would end up in a fatal crash since the plane’s stabilizers would collide. Not so fun anymore, is it?

Wolf of Wall Street – Naomi’s legs

Finally, we have a scene where Naomi tries to seduce her husband. In the scene, she opens her legs to do so, but there is a small mistake.

Wolf Of Wall Street- Naomi's Legs

In the next shot she is on the floor with her legs closed, and the next one, she shows up in her previous position!

So what did you think?

As we can clearly see, no matter how much money is put into it, it can always get some mistakes. The thing is, sometimes these are harmless and amazing for a good laugh!
