We all know that our genetics are what make us unique and ourselves, but we also know that it always comes from our relatives.
That is why it is so fun to make comparisons of relatives and appearances. Some people might be luckier than others in the genetic lottery, and others not as much, but it still makes all of us unique.
So today we gathered some super fun pictures of people and how cool their genetics are! Let’s learn more about ourselves.
A really good printer of a dad
This dad really hit the copy-paste button when his son was born. On the right side, we can see a picture of his father when he was the same age as the son.
On the left side, we can see the son, wearing a very similar outfit and hairstyle. This just makes the son look even more like his dad and shows us how genetics can be crazy.
Unfortunately, this man was never able to see how similar to him his son was, because his father passed away when he was only four years old. Let’s just hope that somehow he is able to see how amazing he looks.
Half freckled!
This guy did win massive in the genetic lottery! Nowadays, drawing freckles on your face is something common because people find that freckles are not really common anymore. The thing is, this guy got them! Well, half of them at least. Jokes aside, this is probably a birthmark on his face and not freckles since, well, it is way too perfect to be freckles.
Everyone has some freckles around their body and face. This guy then was able to have not only on his body, but also his face.
Two brothers, one face
This is one of those amazing edits to show how similar relatives really are! These two brothers are so similar, that when you put them side by side, you can really see how similar they are. There are some obvious differences, like, one has blue eyes and the other brown, and one is bald, and the other is not. The most similar thing is their full beard.
This might not even be that noticeable in the day-to-day life because, well, people sometimes don’t care about it. But when you put it side by side is when you really can see it.
Spiraling out of control
Do you know how normally we have a spiral at the back of our head, where our hair grows out? Well, this guy has two! Not only does he have two spirals, but they grow in different directions, and they are also very symmetrical. The fact that they go in different directions makes him have a tiny Mohawk! Maybe he was born to be a rock star.
I just know that cutting his hair must be super hard! All the barbers must hate him. I just know that he can wake up and not do anything, and he will have the best hairstyle ever created without even trying.
Twins with a 29-year age gap
While this is not a birth defect, it is still a pretty awesome pic. You see, there are a lot of people that look just like their parents and sometimes that can be freaky, just like this one. In the first pic, we have the dad holding his son when he was 29 years old. Down we have the same son, at age 29, holding his own baby! And well, the resemblance is really there, they look like twins!
I mean, one of the few things that make a real difference is that the son has a brown beard, instead of blond. But hey, what are the chances of you having a baby at the same age your dad had you?
An Aunt in 1972 and Her Niece Today
This is a very sweet picture. In this we can see two little girls, one in 1972 and the other in the modern days. The black in white girl is the aunt of the present day little girl! How crazy it is that they look so similar? The hairstyle looks the same, their eyes and nose too, and their eyebrows are copies. The only difference might be that the aunt is not really smiling, while the little girl looks super happy.
This is the best thing you will see. These cute girls look almost exactly the same, with some good decades separating them. It is really insane how genetics works.
They are not related!
This might seem crazy, but these guys are not related at all! They met randomly! Having red hair is already a pretty rare thing, and now meeting someone that not only has the same hair as you, but looks like your twin, well, that sure is a funny thing. Maybe they did not even notice their resemblance until someone pointed it out, and if they did, well, that might be a funny conversation.
And while they are very easy to differentiate, it still is such a cool thing that these strangers that never once met have such similar genetics.
This Woman Looks Exactly Like Her Grandma’s Sister
This woman had always something said about her by her grandmother, and it was how similar she looked to her great aunt. Well, that was something she did not believe until they showed her a comparison. On the left side, we see her great aunt sitting on the floor, with her hair in a hairstyle and smiling for the picture. On the right we see the grandniece with that same smile, same face, and even with her hair up to complete the look.
This is to show us how genes really work. Not only on closer relatives, but also from more distant ones, like her great aunt. Genetics really are a beautiful thing.

Wow, have you ever fallen face-first into the floor? When that happens, your first instinct is to protect your nose, because it is standing out the most in your face. Well, this guy doesn’t have to worry about that. He does not have a bridge! This genetic problem makes so that his nose has no bridge, and that makes him able to make it flat while still having it! Voldemort could never.
I’m sure he was the king of parties, showing this to everyone. I know that I want to press his nose to see if it goes really all the way down. The real question is: is he able to get a nose job?
Two sides of the same coin
No, this is not an Instagram filter! Actually, this is another case of crazy genetics. This is a mixed photo of a grandma and a granddaughter. The picture shows how genetics can jump people and get just the right amount every time. Even though they are not mother and daughter, the granddaughter looks just like her grandma’s twin.
Even though it is not as common for children to be copies of their grandparents, it still happens. Actually, we inherit a lot of traits and things from our grandparents, and most don’t even realize! What a crazy coincidence.
Two of the same kind
This is an amazing picture showing how close we are to other animals! This girl and her dog have the same condition. It makes so that one eye is a different color than the other. Heterochromia is a very rare genetic mutation, and it happens more often in animals than in humans. Still, this girl did find her perfect match, and they look amazing together.
Heterochromia is a disorder where the melanin of an eye can change. It has a lot of different ways of showing. You can have an eye with different patterns of colors or even a full color different from the other. This girl and this dog will share this for life.
They say the little finger is the most important one.
You know when people say that the little finger is the most important one because it held the most strength? Well, that is indeed true! And for this guy, well, it means he has double the street. This finger has a huge difference from the ones in his hand. It just happened that the little finger outgrew all the others, and because of that, this amazing picture was taken.
Well, like any defect on your hands, the first thing I think is how do gloves work for them? Well, let’s just hope they don’t live somewhere really cold, or else it would end up being a bit hard to live.\
A pair of kings!
Do you know that old Disney Channel TV series called “a pair of kings”? Well, if you do, then you know where I’m going. The show is about a pair of twins, and well, they are very different from one another, one being light skinned and the other dark skinned, just like these guys! At first glance, you would never know they are twins, one being super light and a ginger with curly hair, and the other darker and with black straight hair.
Genetics are really cool, and this happens a lot when two parents who are different races have twins. I’ll just assume one of the parents is a ginger.
An even division
If you look at your hands you will see a type of marking completely different from other people and well, this is something mostly unique to everyone. But this person, well, they have the perfect mark on their had. A perfect line separating their fingers from the rest of the hand makes it look like you could cut right through it. This is very rare and does not happen often. Around 1% of people have this, and you probably will never see it in real life.
Everyone has something unique about it, be it a birthmark, or something else. This person for sure has the most symmetrical one ever seen!
Double the volume
I just know this woman never had to use anything to make her eyelashes look bigger. She just happens to be one of the very few people around the world that was born with two sets of eyelashes in each eye, making it look more full and bigger. The dark and long lashes make her blue eyes stand out really well, and really just give her a better look.
This rare genetic condition is called Destichiasis. This means that people will be born with two sets of eyelashes, or in some cases they will grow with time.
Someone spilled coffee
Oh, no! Someone spilled coffee in this lady’s eyes! Jokes aside, this is a beautiful way of showing how heterochromia works with different people. Sometimes many might think it affects only the whole eye, but it can affect only parts of it, just like we see in this woman. Her eyes are a beautiful green, with some dark brown spots that make her look super unique.
This rare genetic disorder is definitely one that only gets people even more unique. Heterochromia is just that thing that when you have it, you know people will look at you all the time.
Did someone lose a Targaryen?
You know when in the A Song of Ice and Fire books, the Targaryen are described as these ethereal beings, with white hair and purple eyes? Well, this girl for sure would be able to play a part in that. Having a condition called albinism, she looks amazing. The condition is characterized by the body not producing any melanin on the body, making everything as light as possible.
While albinism always comes with a variety of problems, it still is a sight to be seen. This model did stand out a lot, and is really one of a kind.
The printer ran out of ink!
Well, just like we know, siblings can come out looking very similar or sometimes, the complete opposite. That is what happened with these two sisters. One of them is way taller and has tan skin, along with black hair. While the other is short, really pale and is a redhead! Wow, could you imagine being a sibling and being so different? Their parents must have very distinct features.
This is because one of the parents is Irish, while the other is Italian. This incredible mix made these two sisters look nothing like the other. Still, their smile is proof enough of their bond.
Four fingers and a half!
This is a very interesting picture and a very finny coincidence. As you can see, both of these men have a very little fingers. On the left is the son, and he was born with his finger like that. A genetic defect made him have a finger half the size of a normal one. On the right, we see the dad, that had a normal hand, but because of a wound, half of his finger was chopped off.
Like this, it even looked like it was planned! Even though the injury the father had was probably awful, it made this funny coincidence! Now, not only can they share their pain, but also their gloves.
An eye for an eye
In this amazing picture, we can see a very rare deform from birth. This person was born with a very special eye, their pupils have a very irregular shape. Now, while this can happen due to accidents and scars, this one is from birth. This person was born with a condition called Coloboma and with that the person will have a problem in their pupil, looking like a knife sliced through it.
Not only does this person have this unique pupil shape, but the eye color on its own is amazing and beautiful. The pupil even looks like a flower if you look for some time. Truly a sight to behold.
A Baby Born With Elf Ears
You know when those people try to make their ears elf shaped to maybe imitate a fictional character or do some cosplay? Well, this baby will never have to do it, since their ears are already the perfect shape for such. This amazing birth defect gave birth to the cutest ears ever seen! While this is rare, it is still one amazing detail on that baby.
The cuteness of this ear is only maximized since it is on a baby. This baby for sure will be famous, and while we hope it did not go away, it could very well disappear with age. Either way, it is a very cute detail, and I’m sure his mom will love it.
Curly hair for everyone
Another case of “genetics really played an amazing part in bringing kids into the world” we see this amazing mother and daughter duo. Not only is their hair the same, but their faces make them look like sisters. This woman really just went copy and paste and boom! Her daughter was born. This is to show how funny genetics are, and how good they really look.
I mean, if you look, you can definitely see who the mom and the daughter are. But if you were far enough, I bet you would think these are a pair of twin sisters!

Like Mother, Like Daughter
There is a small chance that people will be born with a part of their body with decreased melanin. This is a genetic trait that can affect every part, be it on the skin, eyes, eyebrows or even the hair! As we can see, this mom has a white patch of hair that is very distinct from her dark brown hair, and just like a printer in her baby too! This cute child came out exactly like her mom, with a big patch of white hair on her head.
The condition’s name is called Poliosis, and is commonly called “Mallen Streak”. This syndrome can affect large patched of hair or just some random around the head.
The twinnest twins of all twins!
Twins are a freaky thing! Well, most of them are pretty easy to tell apart. Of all the twins I’ve met, they all had some distinct feature that told them apart. But these girls? Oh well, they could very well play a part in those scary movies with twins talking at the same time. The girls look exactly the same. Can you imagine living with an alternate version of yourself?
Sometimes, we can see how twins really differ through maybe a freckle or something. But with these? Well, good luck telling them apart, because i sure as heck can’t!
The Weasley’s in real life!
Having red hair normally is already super rare. You see, red hair is a recessive gene, which means that the more people in a family have red hair, the more they will end up having less in the future. That is why it is such a rare hair color. But hey, this family makes it look easy! The mom in the middle has an even more interesting color, an almost red one, while all the other girls have a bright orange!
Redheads can come in all shades, and while the mom has a darker hair, it looks like all the girls got the bright orange one. Even the trees and leafs agree with them, since they are all matching.

This is a huge family! And of course, we can all see who the daughters all look like. Their mom looks super happy about how she is the culprit of all this red hair! It is truly amazing how genetics really works. The father, of course, looks just as happy to see how lucky he and his wife are to have four girls, and all of them are just as pretty as his wife!
Not only that, but three of them also have their mom’s smile! Only the youngest looks like she got some genes from her dad.
He looks like an angel
At first, when I looked at this picture, o thought this boy had a really strong light directed at him. Well, realize my surprise when I saw that it wasn’t a light, but his skin! His beautiful skin has some lighter patterns thanks to a condition called Waardenburg Syndrome. This type of syndrome can happen anywhere, be it on the hair, skin eyes or others.
His eyes are also something to take notice off! Dark skinned people hardly have blue eyes all the time, and this boy was just born with the most beautiful blue eyes I’ve ever seen. They are a deep blue and make a great contrast with his darker skin. Truly magnificent.
More like sisters than mom and daughter
This is another freaky way of showing how neat genetic really are. Here you can clearly see how this mom and daughter look the same. You see, these are not twins, or even sisters. And for once, while they sure are similar, it is also very hard to tell them apart. I for sure am still debating if I got the right one. I mean, I think the one on the left is the daughter, but who knows?
Either way, genetics can be so scary. Imagine you giving birth to yourself? Well, my only curiosity is: where did the dad’s genes go? Maybe she has a sibling.

Looking like your father is something many men will relate to. I mean, your father is supposed to be your mirror, or at least a bit of look alike. And well, this son definitely has it. Getting the bald genetics from his dad, he probably became bald at a younger age, just to match his old man. Now, wearing the same shirt, we can barely see the difference between them.
Not only that, but their facial expressions are on point! It is almost like they were caught off guard, even though they probably asked for the picture. This is a beautiful way to show genetics.

You may see this and think that it is just a single woman, with some different features, but well it is actually a mixed photo of 2 sisters, one on the left and another on the right! You see, these sisters are so similar that when put side by side, we can see only a strong difference in her eyes! Everything else, it looks exactly the same.
One big eyed sister and one with a smaller one, if not for that they could pass for twins! Even the skin tone, the color of their hard and their eyes. Everything is on point for these girls.

This woman took this picture when she was 25 years old, years later, her daughter took one where she looked the same. Here is where we see how strong genetics are. While her mom had wild curly hair, her daughter has a more tamed one. Still, the glasses are really similar and even the same color. And of course, the most similar part, her smile!

You know that saying that when a person looks at you, and they love you, their pupil dilates? Well, this woman must have broken a lot of hearts by accidentally looking at them! Well, actually that, even if it is a true fact, is not what is happening here. This is a rare genetic mutation that was probably passed down to her by some relative that might have it too. Well, it is a pretty uncommon genetic mutation but still really cool!
If you ever want to try seeing how you would look, stay in a dark room and cover one eye. After that, get a flashlight and point it to the other eye. The flash will make your pupil smaller, and the one covered that was not affected will stay big!
Bright Orange Hair and Heterochromia
Being a ginger is already rare these days, and having bright orange hair is even more difficult! Not only that, but having two eyes with different colors is even more uncommon! This woman won the genetic lottery by being able to get these two features together! As we can see, being this rare is definitely a win for her, and I bet she gets everyone’s eyes on her wherever she goes.
The best thing is that the colors do have a cool contrast! The bright orange, the beautiful blue of her eyes and the brown really make an amazing combination! It is extraordinary how beautiful a human being can be just by being unique.

This guy definitely can give the best thumbs up ever! This guy might even have one of the longest thumbs in the world. Of course, this is not edited, and it is explainable. This person has probably one heck of cool genetics. And even though it looks fake, it is not, which makes this even more unreal. I bet that no gloves fit him, the poor guy.
Do you think he has to have special gloves designed for him? I mean, that would be a lot of money just for gloves. Anyway, it is not everyday you find people with thumbs like these, and I hope this guy knows how special he is.
A mother and daughter that look like twins
Another great case of crazy genetics, we have this mother and daughter duo. Dressing the same and wearing the same glasses, I just know it would be super hard to tell them apart in public, or even through this photo.
Of course, they chose this look to make themselves look more alike, and with that we can clearly see that they do look like twins! From the face, to the hair, glasses and clothes, we can’t tell them apart.
Not triplets or sisters!
This is a really crazy picture! Here we can see three girls in the picture, and you might think they are all sisters. Well, you thought wrong! The two girls on the right in the first picture are actually sisters! But what you did not know is that the woman in the bun is actually their mother. This woman looks like her daughter’s age.
Her genes are really amazing! Not only does the mother look like a teenager, but her daughters look flawlessly beautiful, just like their mom. The best genes you will find today!
Is this guy… half bald? No, wait!
Do you know when people say, “you look just like your brother?” well, I bet these guys hear it all the time. No, this is not a guy who is half bald! Actually, it is two brothers, and not twins. This guy really shares all of his genes with his brother. Here we can see one of the few differences between them is, well, the hair! But hey, if they were both bald, it would be hard to tell apart.
Well, if you look hard enough you can see very clear differences, like how one eye is a bit smaller and one nose is lower than the other. But only if you look hard enough, and well, it really shows how similar they are.

Now, this one is really freaky. This is not a single picture, but instead a side by side of two sisters. Here we can see that yes, there are a few differences, but they are so subtle that you can’t even see without looking for it.
If you were shown this picture without context, you would think it was just one person! This is so crazy that even her face and hair seem completely symmetrical!
These two sisters look like twins, and I bet they never hear the end of it. The funny thing is, they are not twins. Just very similar sisters that won in the genetic lottery.
A time traveler?
Is the only explanation for this girl is for her to be a time traveler? Well, of course not! We all know, daughters usually end up looking more like their mothers than their fathers, and well, this girl is all her mom.
